Yesterday Shay, Cayben, and I headed up to the Scout Mountain area to enjoy the outdoors without all the rain. Shay made Coca-Cola Chicken in the dutch oven and invited his family to come eat dinner with us. Shay's mom and dad, Dani, Nick, Carter, Avery, Erika, and Ayden came and all brought food to share. Jake and Beka came too. It was fun to sit around the fire and eat.
Cayben had tons of fun playing with his cousins, of course. Cayben also had his first "mountain biking" experience thanks to Grandpa. Grandpa Erick sent Cayben down a rocky hill on Carter's bike, TWICE! He sent him down a second time even after being lectured at. Good thing Shay was there to catch him each time. Cayben always has fun with Grandpa. Hopefully next time he'll at least have a helmet on.
Shay's family all headed home last night. Shay, Cayben, and I camped. We got to leave the rain-fly off the tent and enjoy sleeping under the bright stars. We love camping!
