Debt Freedom

The day has finally arrived! We paid off the last of our student loan! Wooo Hooo!

Aside from our house we are now debt free. It feels great to have finally filled in the whole we dug. Cayben was excited to celebrate with us. He is happy that "we're" debt free, but he made sure to let us know, many times, that he has always been debt free.  Cayben wanted to be the one to click the submit button on the computer to initiate the transaction to pay the final balance. Cayben wanted to count down from three and yell, "We're debt free!" Cayben even wanted to listen to a Dave Ramsey podcast afterward to celebrate. Silly four-year-old, right?

Anyway, we are all excited. Even Embrie likes yelling, "Debt free," even though she doesn't yet understand what it means.

Our next big goals are to cash-flow grad school in the future, someday own a house free of a mortgage, fund our childrens' educations, save for a comfortable retirement, and be able to care for people in need.

No need to get all caught up in these daunting tasks now. We've met a milestone, and I believe a celebration needs to be had. Who wants to rock the party?
