Albertsons hosts a free field trip for local schools and other groups to educate people about healthy eating. A parent of one of my students told me about this opportunity, so I decided to look into it.
Today, with the help of some parents, we loaded up the kiddos and headed to the grocery store. The instructor taught the class about "anytime" foods and "sometimes" foods. The kids had a lot of fun, especially because they got to sample foods and even make their own pita sandwiches.
