Dr. Seuss Birthday Party

The Portneuf District library had a party to celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday. Jamie and I took Cayben, Elyse, and Carter to the party. The kids had a lot of fun. A Chubbuck police officer came in and read the kids a Dr. Seuss book. Cayben liked his gun on his belt. Cayben kept trying to tell the police man that, "Tayben has a gun, a toy gun," but the police officer never heard him. After listening to a few stories and coloring a Dr. Seuss hat, all the kids went out side to see a fire truck the Chubbuck Fire Station brought over. The kids had turns sitting in the driver's seat and "driving" the fire truck. Cayben sat up there and made his fire truck sound and drove and drove. He didn't want to get out of the fire truck. Carter didn't like driving. He wanted out of the fire truck as soon as I put him in there. Cayben's friend Althea didn't like driving the fire truck either. Cayben then got a turn to sit in the back of the fire truck and look at all of the water hoses and tools. He loved it. After enjoying the fire truck, the kids came back in the library to eat birthday cake and drink punch. It was a fun party.
