Cayben's First Fun Run

The new Portneuf Medical Center had all sorts of stuff going on today to celebrate its Grand Opening. Included in this was a free fun run. Since they had a 2.5k option, Cayben ran with us.

Cayben became pretty discouraged part way into it. I think that he felt like we might run forever. Once we got to the turn around and headed back, he did so much better. It also helped when people at water stations would cheer for him. Cayben thrives on applause! (This is how we motivate him to clean his room.)

Cayben was all too happy to run through the finish line and go redeem his treats. He was hoping for a doughnut (the city sponsored fun runs always have doughnuts), but settled for a protein bar.

I was so happy to have my little guy run with Shay and me. These are the moments I dream about!
